WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
For five days and four nights, we will stay aboard a liveaboard maxi yacht named ‘The Broomstick’. Sailing around the gorgeous Whitsunday Islands: exploring the outer reefs, freediving, and, most importantly, spearfishing and enjoying the fruits of our labour (seafood).
A few points to consider:
- Actionable theory sessions and a specialised freediving refresher workshop.
- Great opportunity to learn a bit about sailing as the experienced crew are only too happy to explain the process.
- Opportunity to get in the water and line dive every day.
- Beginner’s spearfishing course for those who want to learn the basics.
- There is access to deep water for freediving training, where visibility is usually around 15m.
- We focus the spearfishing aspect of the trip on entry/beginner-level hunters, with an average diving depth of around 5 to 15m available. Comfortable diving for learning to hunt!
