I recently attended the first Intermediate course with Noob Spearo in November 2023, where I had the opportunity to learn from experienced Spearos like Tim, Trevor, and Tom. It was fantastic to learned about weather systems and the Role of the East Australian Current (EAC) which is something that I had never even giving thought too. The atmosphere was fantastic, and I explored new aspects of spearfishing, including the proper care and cooking of the catch. We collaborated as a team, taking turns to prepare meals using recipes from '99 Spearo Recipes' and incorporating our own experiences to create fantastic dishes. A major highlight was discovering dry aging fish, and even my wife, who typically avoids fish, enjoyed the three-day dry-aged Kingfish. We prepared it as sashimi and ceviche, following a recipe from Shrek's book.

If you want to take your Spearfishing to the next level the intermediate Spearfishing course is a must you get to learn hands on with the best. Coming away i feel confident in my abilities. To now take on whatever the ocean throws at me. Thanks izac and team

This course provided an incredible fun learning experience in a beautiful location that I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone eager to delve deeper into the world of spearfishing and freediving. The instructors were unparalleled in their expertise, giving me the confidence and techniques I needed to push my diving to new depths. I had an amazing time couldn’t recommend this course more.

This was one of the most enjoyable courses I have ever completed. Issac and Bree have a wealth of knowledge that even an old salty dog like me can learn from. The new skills, tips and techniques that were passed onto me are invaluable. I’m still frothing! If you’re reading this and on fence, jump in it’s the only way you will learn and grow!

My wife booked 3 days learning to free dive/spear fish with Isaac Daly (Shrek). Didn't really know what to expect as have never done this type of thing before. Was pleasantly surprised by the experience. Shrek, Bree and Tom were amazing, learnt a lot from them. The pace of the course was very good and covered a lot of information. Even a beginner could keep up which is a credit to them and course content. The overall team on the course made the experience even more enjoyable/memorable. Great location as well. Would highly recommend this course to anyone wanting learn free diving/spear fishing and have some fun along the journey!! Thank you!

I had a great time and learnt lots of valuable information. The instructors were also great and everyone else there was nice. I definitely recommend this trip for anyone who wants to start spearfishing or refine their skills.

I recently wrapped up the Stradbroke Island Freedive/Spear & Froth Weekend course organised by the Noob Spearo team, and I must say it was a blast! I've dabbled in indoor freediving for a while and spent years diving deep into the YouTube rabbit hole, basically becoming a keyboard spearo master. As the event got closer, I was a bit nervous about taking the plunge into spearfishing, but this course turned out to be the perfect way to dive in. :)) The way Shrek and the crew structured the course was spot-on, taking us from the basics to more advanced stuff like pre-dive relaxation techniques, using fish behaviour to our advantage, or understanding underwater currents. A special shout-out to Tom, one of our instructors, who significantly boosted my confidence during the course. It's super reassuring to have someone like him watching your back. Overall, the course exceeded my expectations, and I'm grateful to have chosen it as my ticket into the spearfishing world. If you've ever considered trying this thrilling sport, I'd 100% recommend Noob Spearo's Froth Weekend. Iulian
